hashrat software package provides hashing tool supporting several hashes and recursivity, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hashrat
hashrat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hashrat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hashrat *
You will get with hashrat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
